Studying or working all night? Partying until morning? You'd be lying if you said you hadn't experienced one of these situations before. After experiencing one of these you'll find that you look AND feel tired the following day. Here are some tips to help you to recover:
1. Have an appetising breakfast.
As the saying goes; "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day." We may sound like your mother nagging you, but it's true. A tasty breakfast will give you energy and put you in a good mood! Don’t skip it. If you're not much of a morning person, or never feel hungry at that time, bring something like a healthy smoothie or a banana with you to boost that metabolism. Or kick it old school and have coffee and a croissant while staring at expensive jewellery like beautiful Audrey.
2. Take a bath or a refreshing shower.
Spend some time just daydreaming and relaxing while you take a bath. This can quickly recharge your brain and refresh your mind. Don't have time for a bath? Then hop into the shower for five minutes. Some of our best ideas come to us in the shower!
3.Listen to an upbeat song.
Music can always brighten up your day! Everyone has that favourite "go-to" song that gets them in a good mood. A favourite tune for a singalong here at YSD HQ is the classic that is Jojo's "Too Little, Too Late". A emotional ballad that gets the juices flowing for the day ahead.
4. Breathe in the fresh air!
Sunlight exposure, natural light and fresh air have all been proven to improve your mood and overall alertness. Before work, or on your lunch break, go walk through a park or small wood nearby. Put your phone away, sit on a bench or on the grass and listen to nature! It will calm your mind and recharge your batteries for the day ahead.
5. Do some yoga.
Okay, hear us out. We know after a night of overindulgence or working late the last thing you will want to do is get onto a yoga mat. However, there are practices that specialise in easing a hangover, which are gentle and easy on the body. If you really cant face it - do the child's pose and place your head on a baby wipe with lavender oil and peppermint oil on it - rolling back back and forth. It will really ease any tension from a hangover or a work-induced headache.
6. Smile confidently!
The power of smiling confidently is actually a thing, we swear. It can trick your brain into feeling happy and ease up on any negative thought clouds that may be brewing. Smile at the jogger you walk by or at the bus driver who brought you to work. Not confident with your smile? We believe that our invisible braces bring you visible confidence. Plus the price and easy process will turn your frown upside down!
